SSC Stands For Staff Selection Commission; it is a very important organization of the Indian government that conducts recruitment exams for various posts in various departments and ministries.
SSC is considered a major body of the Department of Personnel and Training, this body is run by a chairman, two members, and a secretary-cum-controller of examinations. SSC also stands for Secondary School Certificate; this exam is conducted by many boards like CBSE and state boards for 10th-grade students.

Candidates applying for the various posts need to have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university at the time of applying. Apart from this there will be additional requirements that the candidates need to fulfill to be eligible to apply.
The age requirements vary from posts to post. But generally it is between 20 and 30 years. Also there are certain age relaxation criteria for the reserved candidates.
The exam is held by Staff Services Commission. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975, it is mandated to select staff for various Group B and Group C posts that come under various ministries in the Government of India. SSC CHSL is a combined competition exam conducted to select Higher Secondary qualified students for various departments and offices of the government. The full form of SSC CHSL is the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam.
The SSC CHSL exam includes posts such as Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator posts. SSC can choose and suggest candidates for Assistants / Clerks posts through a computer-based test, descriptive paper, and Skill Test, or a Typing Test.
This exam is conducted every year for recruitment in many Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the govt. of India. The SSC conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL, 10+2) exam for hiring too many posts such as:
SSC MTS exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for selecting candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments and offices of the Govt of India. The candidates shortlisted for multi-tasking staff posts are salaried with Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission with basic pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.1,800.
