What is CLAT?
Common Law Admission Test( CLAT) is a centralized national level entrance test for admission to 22 National Law Universities(NLUs) in India. It is primarily for students seeking Admission to undergraduate(UG) and Postgraduate (PG) legal programmes. CLAT is one of the most difficult entrance exam for admission into best legal colleges.
Brief of CLAT courses
The common Law Admission Test(CLAT) has a fixed syllabus for UG and PG which has been established by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs). The test assesses a candidate’s aptitude in various areas including English, current affairs, legal reasoning, logical reasoning and quantitative techniques in the UG level exam. CLAT Eligibility
To be eligible for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), candidates must meet the following criteria:
- There is be no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme through the CLAT.
- Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination)
- Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
- Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2024 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2024 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission, failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the course they may have applied for.

The CLAT exam in 2024 for undergraduate (UG) course has a simple and clear pattern.
